A native Californian, Victoria Sorensen has been singing and writing music since she was 11 years old. Post-college, she played the L.A./Hollywood singer/songwriter circuit for several years including co-writing a theme song for the America's Cup yacht race, as well as a co-writing a featured song for a holiday memorial tribute to Karen Carpenter performed with Richard Carpenter. After an extensive career in the corporate world, in recent years she has returned to her passion for songwriting and performing now residing in the mountain resort area of Park City, Utah. Her vocal and writing style has been described as warm and expressive, with rich tones influenced by Carly Simon, Bonnie Raitt, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Karen Carpenter, Joni Mitchell, Christine McVie and Brandi Carlile
Having always loved the art of storytelling, her original compositions capture authentic messages and themes ranging from relationships to nature to simply living each day to the fullest in every season of life. Her versatility in writing in several different genres (Singer-songwriter, Country, Americana, R&B, Pop) make her a unique “find” on a variety of playlists.
Her music is currently streaming everywhere you listen and her DEBUT full album “Young Buds, Old Roses” was released in November 2024. Subsequent singles “Mama's Trees” (July 2025) and “Up In Smoke” (Oct 2025) also streaming everywhere. Her fun novelty song “Baggage” will be released late Spring 2026. An EP is scheduled for Fall 2026
